Wow, how things have changed and gone mental..
I left Acheron, along with like half the members... actually I withdrew my application. They all perfectly understood my reason, mainly that the drama really wasn't what I was looking for. Acheron has now formed a 2nd guild, a "Hardcore raid guild." where they hope to have 35-40 hardcore members. I'm not going to apply, I don't really have the time commitment to do it, maybe in the far future.
So now, I pvp. I've got a big list of everything I need, how many arena/honour points it is etc. I'd post it here but...well, look at what Ming is wearing, and that's what I'm getting...

Hmm, interesting.... *Goblin voice!*
Well, it looks like drama is afoot. I don't know the full details yet, so don't really want to speculate and spread false rumour, not that anyone actually reads this blog...but yeah, when I reach Ming status I don't want this falling back on my head!
Seriously though, the general jist is a few major members of Acheron have left the guild... Not good. However I don't think pulling out now would be in the best interest of me or Acheron. Atleast one other member has already left for reasons not directly connected to it, losing more is only going to hurt them further. The best thing I can do right now is do the best I can to prove myself and help Acheron.
I won't post too much information here, throwing about probably private guild information is not the best way to get them to like you!
Anyway, on a more personal level, I didn't manage to get into Gruul's Lair tonight, which is a shame as I really wanted to experiance that fight. I did however que for the entire thing, which in Acheron DKP rules gives me the full DKP as if I had gone. Kind of makes sense really... if someone is prepared to sit outside an instance for it's entire duration to fill the spot of someone who has to leave, why should they not be rewarded for their diligence?
I didn't however waste my time! I made WoW half size, so that I could see if I was required, and wrote myself a new CV. The raid ended however pretty quickly and so I wasn't required at all. After that I went offline as I had important personal things to be doing.
Tomorrow is Kara, and because of a couple of members of Slayar's group being unable to attend, it seems likely that I might actually get a spot straight off, which would be nice. I belive the bosses they have left are Aran, Illhoof, Maiden and Nightbane: Which is pretty handy as excluding Illhoof there is something I would like off each boss.
Oh, I'd like to clear something up. I actually got called a 'lootwhore' because of my constant banter about gear and which gave more DAEP and which was the best or next in my progression. This really is NOT the case. Now I know you are probably thinking "Well yeah, you're hardly going to admit it" but really it's just not the case. Knowing that upgrading my Stealther's helm to Cowl of Defiance is nearly equal in DAEP to Tier 4 is fine...knowing that Tier 4 actually stacks too much DAEP in Stam and it's Meta Socket however makes all the difference. Without a doubt in my mind, Cowl of Defiance > Tier 4. However that doesn't mean I'm going to sit and farm Kara for Netherspite, and not turn up when it's time to fight the Prince. I just want to raid and have fun, the loot is an added bonus.
Oh I forgot to post yesterday, I must of forgot all about it! Well I did my first Kara run, although the instance was already pretty much a quarter cleared. I was unfortunatly not chosen to join the starting lineup, but waited outside until a spot became available to me (farming the ghosts for cloth...got nearly 80, no time wasting for me!) they managed to down Curator, but kept wiping on Nightbane... anyway so I joined and they gave up on Nightbane as I joined so off to the Chess event. After about 40 minutes of trash it was time for Chess fun.
Now, as Celestio well knows, the Chess event is by far my most loved part of the entire instance. I don't know why... it's not even real chess, but it's just so dam interesting! We actually managed to fail our first attempt, which I've never even heard of happening before, hah, Slayar was playing the King and got trapped, while being owned by a rain of fire and a hellfire...much more dps than the healers could handle. I was only a lowly pawn, so pretty much did nothing other than kill a single enemy pawn then hold off an enemy knight until we lost.
The second fight however I managed to play a Rook (which I chose intentionaly, unlike the pawn). Due to my fanatical love of the chess event, I knew that rook's have one of the better damaging moves, the ability to do a hellfire which does 3000 damage to every enemy peice in contact with your own, even diagonals. Also knowing that the King, Slayar again, has an aoe buff for +50% damage...well, I followed Slayar and just stood in contact with as many enemies as possible doing 4.5k damage to all of them. It was carnage, I honestly believe that the Chess event could be 5 manned... just move pawns out of the way, then take 2 rooks, 2 bishops (healers) and the king.
Still, it was great fun! I really want the instance to reset so I can hopefully do it again :P I also managed to win my first ever raid epic, huzzah! Girdle of Treachery which I put 2x +4 agi +6 stam gems in, kindly made by Grock. While I know that it's not actually that amazing (actualy 2 DAEP less than the 5 man elite Scryer quest reward belt) it's much much better than my rubbishy old belt by 20 DAEP, so a worthy improvement which is only marginaly worse than the Gronn Stiched Girdle, and seeing how nobody actually wanted it (Critters, the only other rogue, passed) it was better than it being dissed.
Let's see what happens tomorrow!

The time has come
For me to join Acheron! Wrote my application, which I spent far too long on, and posted it at about 14:00 and by 21:00 or so was invited!
I'm over the moon about it, it's something I've been working towards since I managed to get on WoW again a month ago. Now to just have some fun and raid with people I know and respect. It will be cool to get to know the people who I don't know, or know very little, so I'm really looking forward to spamming guildchat hah.

How things change....
Well, from my ealier post where I had a go at myself for being lazy in WoW, I got a lot done!
First of all, Scryer Exalted!
That gives me the tabard *wewt* but more importantly the shoulder 'enchant' items. Deffinatly glad I've got this out of the way!
And now to make it better, I'm Kara Attuned! That's right, I actually managed to get a group to BM. Being slightly fed up of not being able to get a decent group, Slayar suggested I should do what I hoped would happen, a set team. With Slayar tanking, Celestio healing, me doing my pewpew, Mcdeath on his mage and originaly Chrillo on his hunter, but very kindly replaced by Vacakri.
With a group like that, it would of been silly to of failed. The only death we had was when Vac thought he'd try his hand at tanking....on Aenous. Needless to say, he got mauled! hah
A big big big thank you to all 5 of you (Still greatful for trying Chrillo!)
After that things kind of went down hill. Me and Celestio tried to take Halaa, so that I could get my belt as I already have all the tokens. Taking the guards out is a peice of piss, however its when we go to take the town itself and get ganked by 6 alliance that things start to go wrong... The most frustrating thing is that in fair even fights, we win almost every single time, but were normaly always being ganked atleast 2v3 up to 2v6.
Needles to say, I failed in getting my belt. I'm starting to think I'll be able to buy the stupid Talbuk before I get my belt! Ahwell.
Tomorrow I will write up my application for Acheron. I was going to do it tonight but the serious lack of sleep means my writing and thinking skills are a bit gimped, as you can probably tell reading this...
Still, tomorrow is another day....

Unproductive, never a good thing!
Well, the last two days I have been pretty lazy if I'm honest. I've not really done much at all, in or out of WoW. I did however last night install Sony Vegas and made a start to the video I've been wanting to make for about two years!
I really want to get away from the whole 'big crit gankathon' that a lot of movies just seem to be, but there's so much good competition out there aswell. Some of the stuff I will include will be a nod at favourite movie makers of mine, such as the wireframe chroma-keyed intro (Fony!!) and a lot of inspiritation from Hector, more recently Kenion who in my opinion has made the most entertaining rogue pvp video this year.
I'll try to vary up the music aswell, sticking away from things played in a lot of movies...mostly things of my own taste, John Frusciante, The Mars Volta, RHCP and so on. Another posibility would be adding something non-pvp, however I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not...as people watch pvp videos for pvp, so I will have to make sure the idea is a good one that people will enjoy.
If anyone has any suggestions, or wants links or info about anyone I've mentioned here, be it WoW movie makers or musicians, just leave a comment as I'm more than happy to take the time to reply to anyone that will read my blog!

It's late, but I don't care...
OMFG Bonecracker!
Yeah so I'm sad and waited up until the arena points were dished out to buy my offhand, bite me! Hah, anyway a major thank you goes out to Celestio, who played 180 games with me over the course of three weeks, so that I could get it when he had NOTHING to spend the points on....owe him a lot. <3

Attunement
Well, today I didn't get that much progress done... I did however get the 3rd key fragment and therefore am a step closer on my Kara attunement! *huzzah!* Now I need a final BM run and I'm done with that.
I really do need more heroic keys though... I think this next BM run will give me the CoT one, so that will be two: and then I'll probably try for the Auch one, as the instances are pretty easy to get a group for.
